Pathways: STEM Workshop Series

On January 24, 2026

The Pathways: STEM Workshop Series is an immersive, hands-on learning initiative focused on Arduino robotics and the Green Innovators theme, created to ignite curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young learners. Organized by Lok Sahaita in collaboration with NED University of Engineering & Technology, the workshops brought students from IBA Public School Sukkur and Pakistan Sweet Home Sukkur to Karachi for a transformative learning experience at the Asma M. Hashmi STEM Center, NED University. Throughout the day, students worked intensively with circuits and Arduino kits, experimenting, coding, and building functional prototypes that addressed real-world challenges with a sustainability-driven approach. Supported by expert faculty and mentors from NED University, students were given the opportunity to truly prove their abilities, apply their knowledge, and work collaboratively as innovators.

Upon completion of the prototypes, each team’s project was thoroughly inspected and evaluated by the Chairperson of Lok Sahaita, Pir Muhammad Shah, and the Vice Chancellor of NED University, Dr. Noman. Their detailed review and interaction with the students further motivated the participants and highlighted the importance of innovation, clarity of thought, and practical application. Winning teams were awarded medals in recognition of their outstanding performance, while all participating students received certificates, acknowledging their dedication, effort, and successful completion of the workshop making the Pathways: STEM Workshop Series a proud platform for learning, recognition, and future-ready inspiration.

Platform where young minds learn, compete, create, and innovate through science and technology.

The Pathways: STEM Workshop Series, organized by Lok Sahaita in collaboration with NED University, provides students with structured, experiential learning in applied technology and innovation, centered on the themes of Arduino Robotics and Green Innovators. Participants engage in prototype development, technical experimentation, educational activities, and visual learning, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts through hands-on practice and interactive demonstrations. Working within a university-level academic environment, students collaborate to solve problems and transform ideas into functional projects. All projects are formally reviewed, and high-performing teams are awarded medals and recognition certificates, reflecting excellence in design, creativity, and execution.

From classrooms to circuits, Pathways opens doors for students to discover their potential through experiential learning.

Arduino Robotics involves building and programming robots using Arduino microcontrollers small, affordable, and easy-to-use boards. It helps students learn electronics, coding, and engineering by creating robots that move, sense, and respond to commands. This hands-on, interactive approach makes learning tangible, boosts problem-solving and creativity, and provides immediate feedback, making STEM concepts engaging and memorable.

Green Innovators focuses on developing creative solutions that address environmental and sustainability challenges. It helps students learn about renewable energy, eco-friendly technology, and sustainable design by applying concepts to real-world projects. This hands-on approach encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and responsible innovation, making learning interactive, impactful, and inspiring for the next generation of environmentally conscious innovators.
