Lok Sahaita Trust successfully launched the STEM Talent Search Portal, Organised by NED University of Engineering & Technology a groundbreaking initiative to identify, nurture, and showcase the scientific talent of university students. The launch ceremony was a remarkable gathering of scholars, professors, government officials, university leaders, and university students from across the country, reflecting the national importance of this initiative.
Chief Guest of the ceremony was Pakistan’s most renowned nuclear physicist, Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, whose presence was the true highlight of the event. His participation added immense value to the occasion, inspiring young minds to pursue excellence in science and innovation. In his speech, Dr. Hoodbhoy emphasized that science and technology are the key drivers of success for any nation, and encouraged students to dedicate themselves to knowledge, research, and creativity to build a stronger future for Pakistan.
The event was further enriched by the addresses of respected academic leaders, including Dr. Muhammad Tufail (Vice Chancellor, NED University of Engineering & Technology) and Dr. Noman Ahmed (Pro Vice Chancellor, NED University). Both dignitaries emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and creating opportunities for youth to excel in global scientific arenas.
Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, Chairperson of Lok Sahaita Trust, in his speech, highlighted Lok Sahaita’s vision to empower the younger generation. He stressed that the STEM Talent Search Portal will serve as a bridge for university students to showcase their ideas, projects, and innovations, ultimately contributing to Pakistan’s development in science and technology.
The ceremony witnessed participation from students of various universities who expressed their enthusiasm for the initiative, seeing it as a unique platform to bring their creative and scientific ideas to light.
